On October 12, 2024, an event took place to welcome new members to the "SOCAR Volunteers" group and to award volunteers who successfully completed their activities.
At the event, which began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, attendees observed a minute's silence in honour of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the country.

Aygun Huseynova, SOCAR's Chief Communications Officer, greeted the participants and highlighted that, thanks to the strong support of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the First Vice-President, Mehriban Aliyeva, volunteer activities in the country have expanded across various fields, including social, economic, and political areas, evolving into a significant movement.
Aygun Huseynova stated that although SOCAR volunteers have been active for a short time, they have already become integral members of the SOCAR family. She noted that the volunteers have actively participated in all company initiatives, achieved successes that positively impact their personal development and professional activities, and enhanced their knowledge, skills.
Congratulating the newly accepted volunteers, Chief Communications Officer wished success to those who completed their activities in their future endeavors.
The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov, highlighted that the state youth policy, established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, ensures the development of a young generation with sound thinking, as well as high knowledge and skills in our country.
The minister highlighted that Azerbaijani youth have played a vital role in contributing to the overall development of the country through their dedicated efforts in various sectors. He pointed out that today’s volunteering activities serve as a significant support for the younger generation, helping them to gain practical knowledge and master their chosen fields. He spoke in detail about the ongoing efforts to further expand the volunteering movement across the nation. In this context, Farid Gayibov commended the significant activities of the SOCAR volunteers, acknowledging their valuable contributions, and extended his best wishes for their continued success in future endeavors.
Speaking on behalf of the SOCAR volunteers, Turkan Israfilli provided an in-depth overview of the group’s activities over the past year.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduates of the Volunteers group, followed by a commemorative photo capturing the moment.
