On July 1, 2025, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Bakhodirjon Sidikov, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
The meeting underscored the strong bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan across all sectors. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz, noting that the companies actively engage in joint efforts through both bilateral and multilateral platforms.
The parties also exchanged views on key issues on the agenda. In this context, they highlighted the significant progress made toward implementing a joint geological exploration project in Uzbekistan’s Ustyurt region, as part of the ongoing partnership between the two companies.
