On July 9, 2025, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf participated in the 9th OPEC International Seminar held in Vienna, Austria.
Bringing together leading global energy companies, the seminar has become a key platform for discussing the global energy agenda. Within the framework of the event, SOCAR President took part in several sessions and held bilateral meetings.
During a high-level roundtable titled “Policies and Regulations: A Fair and Realistic Energy Future,” Rovshan Najaf stressed the importance of implementing the energy transition in accordance with each country’s national context and economic capacity. He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s current energy strategy and the steps SOCAR is taking to enhance energy security and promote sustainable development.
As part of the seminar, Rovshan Najaf held bilateral meetings with Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of TotalEnergies; Jeff Miller, Chairman of the Board of Halliburton; Majid Jafar, CEO of Crescent Petroleum; and Ahmed Al Azkawi, CEO of OQEP. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in various energy sector areas and reviewing progress on ongoing joint projects.
